Holistic Development Via Integrated Village Development Project

smart village scheme

The lack of basic amenities and economic growth are the main reasons for their adversity in the villages. The aim of the Smart Village Scheme is to ensure all-round development, and implementation of the right approaches to bring about a positive change in the lives of the villagers.

A Smart Village Will Facilitate:

  • Improved education systems for better opportunities for the  children
  • Health services to improve death rates and better chances of fighting illness, diseases.
  • Entrepreneurial facilities in agriculture and animal husbandry.
  • Primary focus on social welfare
  • Implementation of advanced technical plans
  • Enhanced democratic engagement
  • Improved quality of life

There are certain sections of society that demand undivided attention. We are talking about the weaker and underprivileged. India accounts for 17.7% of the total world population. In this highly populated country, there are still many villages that are unheard of or unreachable. They do not have access to electricity, safe drinking water, and other amenities like properly constructed roads, healthcare systems, education, etc. For sustainable growth and development, it is important that governing authorities take necessary actions to mitigate the rising problems. In lieu of this,  integrated village development projects came into being. These projects are skillful initiatives that focus on bringing the right balance to the ecosystem.

Steps To Be Undertaken:

  • Making the farmers know the latest tools and techniques for better agricultural processes, also forms an important factor.  For example, the drip irrigation system has been a huge benefit for farmers.
  • Electricity is one of the basic needs without which it is impossible to administer everyday life. Thus, in a bid to make electricity reach every house in the village, the enthusiasts from the foundation are striving to provide eco-friendly and budget-friendly power that everyone can afford. Solar energy is the key source. It is emission-free, safe, renewable, affordable, and the cleanest option. With the implementation of solar energy, there will be no addition to global warming. The use of photovoltaic cells to convert solar energy to electrical energy is quite an effective approach.

Voluntary organizations, like Victas Foundation, are taking an active interest in making the integrated village development project a reality. The objective of this project is to focus on electrifying villages through a cost-effective and eco-friendly approach.

We, at the organization, are working for the underprivileged to help them get all the basic amenities of life for uplifting their living standard.  Join our stride to contribute to a humanitarian cause.
