Help To Develop The Rural Community With NGOs For Better India

community development short courses

We are the citizens of India and our responsibility is to participate in the development of our country. The rural community is the backbone of India. The Indian government has introduced the smart village scheme for developing the social and economic condition of the Indian villages. Many governmental and non-governmental organizations are working on this scheme and arrange for subsidies from the state and central government. Even in the 21st century, the villagers are deprived of their basic needs and it is really important to fulfill their needs because, without the fundamental necessity, we can not be able to move our mission forward.

Some famous non-governmental organizations are taking part actively in the integrated village development project to uplift the underprivileged sections of the rural areas and trying to fulfill their fundamental rights.

Examples on which the NGOs are working to develop the rural areas:

  • Electricity- The requirement for electricity is increasing with the emergence of Industry, urban societies, and population. But unfortunately, most of the rural areas are deprived of getting electricity. So the government tries to supply electricity from solar energy. Solar energy generates emission-free electricity and many reliable non-government organizations cooperate with the government to remove the economic and technical obstacles to supply the electricity in rural areas. Solar energy is free energy and it has unlimited sources. Moreover, solar energy causes no pollution.
  • Protection of Environment- It is important to protect the nature of rural areas. So the NGOs are taking initiatives to save and protect the natural water resources. On the other hand, they emphasize solar energy for supplying electricity in the rural areas so that the rural environment can not be hampered. To restore the water sources, the fishermen can get sufficient water to cultivate fishes.
  • Food Security- Unfortunately, the villagers provide our foods all over the country, but they are deprived of getting a balanced diet. So the NGOs help the farmers with sustainable agricultural equipment and pesticides and ensure their food security. They help to restore the water sources so that natural calamities such as short rainfall can not affect agriculture and the rural population.
  • Concentrating On Natural Farming:  The NGOs are concentrating on natural farming and preventing the chance of soil pollution. The usage of pesticides and chemical fertilizers put extra pressure financially on farmers. The NGOs experiment on the varieties of the hybrid crops and by using organic farming methods. Besides, they emphasize preparing organic fertilizers from animals and plants and put them in their demo farm.
