Many governmental and non-governmental organizations are working on this scheme and arranging for subsidies from the state and central government. Even in the 21st century, the villagers are deprived of their basic needs and it is really important to fulfill their needs because, without the fundamental necessity, we may not be able to move our mission forward.

Some famous non-governmental organizations are taking part actively in the integrated village development project to uplift the underprivileged sections of the rural areas and trying to fulfill their fundamental rights.

What Should Be The Highlights Of A Smart Village Scheme?

The first and foremost task is to garner electricity in every household. Where people in the urban areas are implementing AI to power their day-to-day activities, some villages are still in darkness. This disparity should be mitigated. Officials should ensure the electrification of homes at affordable and negligible cost. The Surya Roshni initiative harnesses solar energy to mitigate the demand for electricity in rural areas. Since it is an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution it will work for everyone’s benefit.

For an additional source of income officials from NGOs can create opportunities for women that will help them in earning on their own. We all know that crafts thrive in the nooks and corners of each village. So, taking the responsibility of letting women indulge in making pottery, jewelry, paper, and glass craft will be a great initiative. There is an immense potential for exporting these artifacts.

Even for the youth, it is going to be beneficial if new opportunities in work come into being. This will reduce the stress on the youngsters to migrate to a different environment. It is imperative that the local authorities, along with government aid, plan on effective strategies to educate the children. Primary, secondary schools along with skill training institutes and also, development centers should be set up. Also facilitating loans to farmers will be a great boon to most.

The NGOs help the farmers with sustainable agricultural equipment and pesticides and ensure their food security. They help to restore the water sources so that natural calamities such as short rainfall can not affect agriculture and the rural population.

Conclusion

‘Victas Foundation’ is a professional non-governmental organization that follows national development policies and guidelines. It is imperative that the local authorities, along with government aid, plan on effective strategies to bring about positive changes in the society via a smart village scheme.

Agriculture contributes nearly one-fifth of the gross domestic product in India. In order to increase the growth of agriculture, the Government has planned several programs pertaining to Rural Development in India. Agriculture, handicrafts, fisheries, poultry, and dairy are the primary contributors to the rural business and economy. Thus the importance of rural development is immense. Smart village scheme focus on social, economical, and comprehensive upgradation of age-old practices.

Integrated village development projects are important to improve the standard and quality of life of the people in rural areas.

Some Of The Ways The Volunteers Can Carry Out Upliftment Are:

Poverty Removal: Fossil fuels are not only becoming hard to get but equally costly. Getting solar energy is a simple and cheap way to get the energy needed in rural villages. The price for charging solar panels sets is really cheap and helps people to reduce their power-related costs. At the same point, the availability of energy may help rural people to work even after the sunsets. Increasing work timings can have a big effect on income generation.

Women’s Development: With improving facilities, women can help themselves in different house-based work such as making clothes. Again, different women, self-help clusters can organize evening gatherings that would help them to work during the morning time. Naari Suraksha Projects have the aim to make women and young girls independent.

Improving Health Facilities: Other than being expensive, fossil fuels eject harmful gases that degrade the health of the providers. It also increases pollution and environmental problems. Solar power is not only less costly but also does emit harmful gases.

Food Security- Unfortunately, the villagers provide our food all over the country, but they do not get a balanced diet. So the NGOs help the farmers with sustainable agricultural equipment and pesticides and ensure their food security. They help to restore the water sources so that natural calamities such as short rainfall can not affect agriculture and the rural population.

Financial Aid: Self-run savings and credit groups can come up in the village locality. Their main objective will be to provide micro-loans to those who are going to start their own business or for purchasing farm equipment. This will not only boost their confidence but will also give them the means to better their living conditions.

Conclusion

Through a collaborative effort, you can lend support to small businesses, reduce crime rates, encourage education, and also promote better means of livelihood.

Victas Foundation a voluntary organization has been a key activist in providing community development pieces of training various community leaders and also, development professionals.

Rural infrastructure is a barrier to the proper sustenance of life in the underprivileged sections. It encompasses rural roads, major dams, drainage systems, housing, water supply, and telecommunication. The integrated village development project aims at improving livelihood in the rural community. It is a comprehensive approach that constitutes both the social and economic welfare of the rural people.

What Factors Need To Be Considered For Development?

Roads provide mobility and connectivity and also give a much-needed boost to agricultural activities by making water available easily through improved irrigation facilities.

Electrification is another important factor that needs attention in the villages. With the power of electricity, the quality of life can be enhanced to a greater extent. In homes, streets, schools almost everywhere electrification at an affordable cost is essential for a smooth life transition. The Surya Roshni initiative harnesses solar energy to mitigate the demand for electricity in rural areas. Since it is an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution it will work for everyone’s benefit.

Water Conservation and usage: Officials and local authorities should work in unison to better the accessibility of water to every house and also, agricultural farm. But before that, there should be a tab on the quality of water, how safe and pure it is for consumption and domestic as well as agricultural usage.

NGOs can create opportunities for women that will help them in earning on their own. We all know that crafts thrive in the nooks and corners of each village. So, taking the responsibility of letting women indulge in making pottery, jewelry, paper, and glass craft will be a great initiative. There is an immense potential for exporting these artifacts.

What Are The Salient Features Of A Smart Village?

Initiatives such as the smart village scheme that focuses on enhancing socio-economic development by alleviating poverty and motivating the youth to read, learn, and write. The mission also aims at the proper development and skill of women so that they get a chance to improve their livelihood. A Smart Village will facilitate:

Improved education systems for better opportunities for the children

Health services to improve death rates and better chances of fighting illness, diseases.

Entrepreneurial facilities in agriculture and animal husbandry.

Primary focus on social welfare

Implementation of advanced technical plans

Enhanced democratic engagement

Improved quality of life

Conclusion

Officials at the Victas Foundation are using all their resources to create a better dwelling place for the villagers. A place that is capable of administering all the basic amenities like unadulterated food, pure drinking water, and a safe shelter that has a proper power source.

The lack of basic amenities and economic growth are the main reasons for their adversity in the villages. The aim of the Smart Village Scheme is to ensure all-round development, and implementation of the right approaches to bring about a positive change in the lives of the villagers.

A Smart Village Will Facilitate:

Improved education systems for better opportunities for the children

Health services to improve death rates and better chances of fighting illness, diseases.

Entrepreneurial facilities in agriculture and animal husbandry.

Primary focus on social welfare

Implementation of advanced technical plans

Enhanced democratic engagement

Improved quality of life

There are certain sections of society that demand undivided attention. We are talking about the weaker and underprivileged. India accounts for 17.7% of the total world population. In this highly populated country, there are still many villages that are unheard of or unreachable. They do not have access to electricity, safe drinking water, and other amenities like properly constructed roads, healthcare systems, education, etc. For sustainable growth and development, it is important that governing authorities take necessary actions to mitigate the rising problems. In lieu of this, integrated village development projects came into being. These projects are skillful initiatives that focus on bringing the right balance to the ecosystem.

Steps To Be Undertaken:

Making the farmers know the latest tools and techniques for better agricultural processes, also forms an important factor. For example, the drip irrigation system has been a huge benefit for farmers.

Electricity is one of the basic needs without which it is impossible to administer everyday life. Thus, in a bid to make electricity reach every house in the village, the enthusiasts from the foundation are striving to provide eco-friendly and budget-friendly power that everyone can afford. Solar energy is the key source. It is emission-free, safe, renewable, affordable, and the cleanest option. With the implementation of solar energy, there will be no addition to global warming. The use of photovoltaic cells to convert solar energy to electrical energy is quite an effective approach.

Voluntary organizations, like Victas Foundation, are taking an active interest in making the integrated village development project a reality. The objective of this project is to focus on electrifying villages through a cost-effective and eco-friendly approach.

We, at the organization, are working for the underprivileged to help them get all the basic amenities of life for uplifting their living standard. Join our stride to contribute to a humanitarian cause.

Even after 73 years of independence, there are certain grey areas that need our utmost focus and attention. Yes, we are about to shed light on the living conditions of the people in the rural areas. One of the most unfortunate facts is that the poor and marginalized sections of society are still fighting for their basic rights and necessities. Basic amenities are the foundation for a decent living and it paves way for improved growth and quality of life. A smart village scheme upholds the idea of a balanced living where there is an availability of basic resources. It promotes sustainable growth and development through shared activities that benefit the residents as well as the community.

The scope of basic amenities includes safe drinking water, sanitation, housing, proper roads electrification, fuel, connectivity, healthcare center, and schools. These are non-negotiable conditions for living a bare minimum life. Apart from this, agriculture has always been a major contributor to India’s GDP. The constant decrease in its rate is becoming a rising concern. The main reason for the lack of proper growth is inefficient policies, improper implementation, and execution at the grass-root level.

What Are The Main Features Of A Smart Village Scheme?

Improved education systems for better opportunities for the children

Health services to improve death rates and better chances of fighting illness, diseases.

Entrepreneurial facilities in agriculture and animal husbandry.

Primary focus on social welfare

Implementation of advanced technical plans

Enhanced democratic engagement

Improved quality of life

A Holistic Approach to Social Well-Being

For sustainable growth and development, it is important that governing authorities take necessary actions to mitigate the rising problems. In lieu of this, integrated village development project came into being. These projects are skillful initiatives that focus on bringing the right balance to the ecosystem.

Some Recent Developments That Can Bring About A Positive Change Includes:

Improving the standard of living through various employment facilities

Changing the age-old conservative mindset increases their self-confidence and makes them independent economically and emotionally.

The community courses help villagers in planning development activities. That ensures they gain the right insight into understanding the underlying problems.

Victas Foundation, a non -profit-making organization is working with a team of dedicated enthusiasts for the betterment of the quality of life for rural citizens. Their Surya Roshni initiative by Victas Foundation provides eco-friendly and budget-friendly power that everyone can afford. There are other welfare projects that aim to build a holistic environment.

The smart village scheme highlights the need for proper sanitation, easy access to clean water, healthcare centers, schools, and proper electrification. It is a comprehensive approach that takes into account all-around development from the economic to the social well-being of the rural population. This will ensure that they have access to the basic needs required to sustain their lives.

How To Bring About Positive Changes In Rural Communities?

Lighting Every House: Everyone has the right to the basic necessities of life. Electricity is one such resource that is no longer a luxury refute, but a necessity. It is sad but true that there are many villages that are still devoid of electricity. The Surya Roshni initiative harnesses solar energy to mitigate the demand for electricity in rural areas. Since it is an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution it will work for everyone’s benefit.

Women Empowerment: Encouraging women to learn crafts for becoming self-independent will open new opportunities for the rural people. They can learn different crafts like pottery-making, weaving, handicrafts, etc. The local NGOs can step forward to export these artifacts to different states in exchange for a good remuneration.

Increasing Accessibility: Roads provide mobility, connectivity and also give a much-needed boost to agricultural activities. Apart from acting as a connecting link, properly built roads help make water available easily through improved irrigation facilities. The integrated village development project is thus about the process of improving the quality of life of people living in the villages.

Skill-training And Education: It is imperative that the local authorities along with government aid, plan on effective strategies to educate the children and youth. Primary, secondary schools along with skill training institutes and development centers should be set up. Also facilitating loans to farmers will be a great boon to most citizens. Increasing the literacy rate is the prerequisite for developing and preserving society. Access to education will not only help fence economic barriers but will also positively impact social well-being in a community.

Conclusion:

The integrated village development project aims at improving livelihood in the rural community. It is an initiative by Victas Foundation, a non-profit organization that works for the benefit of people who are deprived of the basic amenities of life. The aim is also to enhance socio-economic development by alleviating poverty. So, join hands in engaging in humanitarian work for the needy. With the help of a smart village scheme, spread awareness about how to lead a better life curbing the challenges.

We are the citizens of India and our responsibility is to participate in the development of our country. The rural community is the backbone of India. The Indian government has introduced the smart village scheme for developing the social and economic condition of the Indian villages. Many governmental and non-governmental organizations are working on this scheme and arrange for subsidies from the state and central government. Even in the 21st century, the villagers are deprived of their basic needs and it is really important to fulfill their needs because, without the fundamental necessity, we can not be able to move our mission forward.

Some famous non-governmental organizations are taking part actively in the integrated village development project to uplift the underprivileged sections of the rural areas and trying to fulfill their fundamental rights.

Examples on which the NGOs are working to develop the rural areas:

Electricity- The requirement for electricity is increasing with the emergence of Industry, urban societies, and population. But unfortunately, most of the rural areas are deprived of getting electricity. So the government tries to supply electricity from solar energy. Solar energy generates emission-free electricity and many reliable non-government organizations cooperate with the government to remove the economic and technical obstacles to supply the electricity in rural areas. Solar energy is free energy and it has unlimited sources. Moreover, solar energy causes no pollution.

Protection of Environment- It is important to protect the nature of rural areas. So the NGOs are taking initiatives to save and protect the natural water resources. On the other hand, they emphasize solar energy for supplying electricity in the rural areas so that the rural environment can not be hampered. To restore the water sources, the fishermen can get sufficient water to cultivate fishes.

Food Security- Unfortunately, the villagers provide our foods all over the country, but they are deprived of getting a balanced diet. So the NGOs help the farmers with sustainable agricultural equipment and pesticides and ensure their food security. They help to restore the water sources so that natural calamities such as short rainfall can not affect agriculture and the rural population.

Concentrating On Natural Farming: The NGOs are concentrating on natural farming and preventing the chance of soil pollution. The usage of pesticides and chemical fertilizers put extra pressure financially on farmers. The NGOs experiment on the varieties of the hybrid crops and by using organic farming methods. Besides, they emphasize preparing organic fertilizers from animals and plants and put them in their demo farm.

‘Victas Foundation’ is a professional non-governmental organization that follows national development policies and guidelines. They provide community development short courses to increase communication, negotiation, learning skills, etc.

Did you know that almost 70% of India’s population dwells in villages? Yes, this is the truth. Therefore it becomes important for the government to focus on them extensively. Smart Village Scheme aims at boosting the sustainable and all-inclusive development of the villagers. The idea is to boost farm productivity, agriculture, rural ecology, and promote better standards of living.
<gwmw style="display:none;">

The Bigger Picture: Imbalance Caused
<gwmw style="display:none;">

The current trend is you will find a majority of villagers shifting to cities for better livelihood. They come in search of jobs. Due to land acquisition problems and unavailability of opportunities in villages, a lot of youth come to cities to work as laborers.

The problem is this is slowly depleting the village culture and also adding stress to the cities. Firstly it leads to desertification of villages, no improvement in agricultural procedures, and zero growth. On the other hand, more people in the cities will increase more pollution, crimes, overburdening of civic amenities, and infrastructure.

Integrated Village Development Project: How to create a balanced approach?
<gwmw style="display:none;"><gwmw style="display:none;">

The first and foremost task is to garner electricity in every household. Where people in the urban areas are implementing AI to power their day to day activities, some villages are still in darkness.

It is imperative that the local authorities along with government aid, plan on effective strategies to educate the children. Primary, secondary schools along with skill training institutes and development centers should be set up. Also facilitating loans to farmers will be a great boon to most.

Conclusion:<gwmw style="display:none;">

Officials at the Victas Foundation are using all its resources to create a better dwelling place for the villagers. A place that is capable of administering all the basic amenities like unadulterated food, pure drinking water and safe shelter that has a proper power source.
<gwmw style="display:none;"><gwmw style="display:none;">
